The Estate
Make yourselves at home
Step into a centuries-old estate shaped by generations of life among the vines. Organic vineyards climb the hillsides, flowers grow in our own field, and the garden supplies the kitchen. This is the family home of James and Ann Frost and their seven boys, and for three days it becomes yours.
Quinta de Sant'Ana is a working wine farm. In August and September the estate is in harvest: the grapes come in, the winery runs, and working equipment may be present, particularly around the Adega (the winery).

Your nearest and dearest
Find a house to settle into, with gardens, terraces and quiet corners between celebrations.
Your closest 60 guests stay here with you, across the houses and the converted Stable Rooms, for the night before your wedding and the wedding night itself. Every available house is yours, breakfast arrives at the door both mornings, and you decide who sleeps where through your couple's portal.

Vineyards for your vows, the courtyard for drinks, dinner beneath wooden beams and dancing in the old Olive Oil Press.
Your planner helps you choose and coordinate each setting. The estate's event spaces are exclusively yours from check-in to check-out. The village church is subject to parish availability; the estate chapel is open for visits only.

The Region
The coast and city, close by
Leave time for Atlantic beaches, Lisbon's city streets and the palaces of Sintra.
Lisbon is the main arrival point; Ericeira, Mafra and Sintra are nearby. Beyond the 60 guests staying at the Quinta, others can stay in local towns or along the coast. Guests book their off-estate rooms directly. Your planner can help arrange local outings and transfers, priced separately and subject to availability.

Catch up with old friends and make introductions over an informal dinner beneath the pines.
Check-in is from 16:00. Our team takes care of the buffet dinner, drinks and service, with estate shuttles throughout the evening. Indoor options are available if the weather turns. The welcome evening is part of your stay, for at least the 60 guests sleeping on the estate.

Begin with breakfast at the house, as flowers arrive and preparations get underway.
While you take your time over coffee, your planner keeps the morning moving, coordinating your suppliers and our team so hair, makeup and photographs fall into place around the timeline you've planned together.
The Ceremony
A place for your vows
Exchange your vows overlooking the vineyards, in the Lemon Garden or inside the old wine cellar.
Each setting suits a civil, humanist or symbolic ceremony, and your planner helps you choose one and prepares a plan for rain. For a Catholic ceremony, the village church is just a few minutes away, and our team helps secure your date with the parish.
Welcome Drinks
Everyone together, glass in hand
Let the celebration begin with drinks and canapés in the courtyard.
Straight from the ceremony, your guests gather to congratulate you over a glass of our own wine, or a beer, cocktail or something soft from the bar, while our team brings the canapés round.
Dinner
The table is set
Four courses from our kitchen, with wine from our vineyards.
You choose your menu with your planner and taste it together before the day. Dinner is served in the Dining Hall, or outdoors for an additional setup fee.
Dancing
A toast, a kiss, then the dance floor
Raise a glass, cut the cake and dance in the old Olive Oil Press.
Sparkling wine comes out with the cake, a cheese and fruit table keeps everyone going, and around midnight the ceia arrives, a late Portuguese snack for the second wind. The bar runs until the close of your service, within the estate's closing times; your planner shapes the timing with you.
The Next Morning
Your first morning, married
Wake up married and relive the night before over breakfast together.
Take it slowly until check-out at 11:00. And if you're not ready to say goodbye, your planner can arrange a beach brunch or a relaxed get-together along the coast, with events and transport quoted separately.

Our kitchen and service team
Executive Chef Rui Borges leads our full-time kitchen team, creating menus around the seasons and using produce from our garden wherever possible, alongside ingredients from trusted local growers, cheesemakers and bakers. Throughout the celebration, our dedicated service team will look after you.
Your wedding-day menu includes welcome drinks and canapés, a four-course dinner, wedding cake, cheese and fruit, and a midnight snack. We also include a private menu tasting for the two of you, with wines selected by the Quinta. During the planning process, we’ll work with you to shape the menu around your preferences and any dietary requirements.

From our vineyards to our cellar, and now to your glass, without ever leaving the estate.
Certified organic since 2018, our wines are poured throughout your open bar, alongside beers, spirits and soft drinks from our standard selection.
The bar opens with welcome drinks and runs to the close of your wedding-day service, within the estate's closing times. Wine is served with dinner, with beer and soft drinks on request, and the spirits and cocktails come back out when the dancing starts.

Flowers from our field, music you love, personal stationery and photographs to keep.
You choose your colour palette and floral details with your planner, who briefs our florist for you. Your planner also connects you with our resident sound technician and trusted local partners to bring the rest together.

Hair and makeup artists, videographers, celebrants, guest transport, babysitting and much more can all be arranged for you. Whatever you have in mind for the day, just ask: we'll explore the possibilities with you or work alongside the suppliers you bring. Planning is included.

What's included
Two nights for 60 guests, with breakfast
Exclusive use of all available houses and rooms, sleeping 60, for the night before your wedding and the night of your wedding. Breakfast is included for everyone staying here on both mornings, delivered to your houses, with options for dietary restrictions. The municipal tourist tax for your on-site guests is included too.
Exclusive use of the event spaces
From check-in to check-out, yours is the only celebration on the estate. The gardens, courtyards and historic event spaces give each part of your time here its own setting, from the welcome evening to the ceremony, dinner and party. Your planner helps you choose the right space for each moment, with a Plan B for the weather.
Your personal wedding planner and team
Our bookings team supports you from the day your date is confirmed. Your personal wedding planner works with you from the November before your wedding until the moment you leave: designing your timeline, shaping the setup from your moodboard, recommending suppliers and briefing our teams. A rehearsal is included if needed.
On the day, your planner accompanies you through the wedding morning, helps coordinate the ceremony, and coordinates vendors and our teams with the day manager and head waiters. Your couple's portal keeps guest details, room assignments and planning tools together throughout the lead-up.
Furnished, prepared and staffed
Our standard selection of tables, chairs, tableware, glassware, linen and candles for your welcome evening, ceremony and reception is already here. Nothing to rent, nothing to truck in. Setup and cleanup are included, with our team on duty throughout.
Our in-house designer also designs and produces your wedding stationery: menus, seating plan, table names, place cards and room cards, personalised with your names in the Quinta's designs for your season.- The Welcome Evening

Your four-course wedding dinner
A four-course dinner from our full-time kitchen, led by Executive Chef Rui Borges. A menu tasting for the two of you is included, with wines selected by the Quinta; your menu and dietary requirements are worked through during planning.
Open bar and ten hours of service
Our standard selection of estate wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks, from welcome drinks to the close, subject to the estate’s closing times. During dinner, we serve wine, with beer and soft drinks on request; spirits and cocktails return when the party begins.
Cake, sparkling wine and midnight food
Your wedding cake and sparkling wine, a cheese and fruit buffet, and the midnight ceia — a late snack to keep everyone going.
Additional services are priced separately. Your wedding planners coordinate any extras, with services arranged through them payable to Quinta de Sant'Ana 30 days before your wedding.

The details behind your stay, your guest list and your proposal.
What is the couple’s portal?
We're building an online space to make planning your wedding simpler, bringing accommodation, menus and your choices together in one place. It means fewer PDFs to keep track of and more time to enjoy the lead-up to your wedding.
Guest numbers and children
We host up to 200 guests. Both per-guest lines have a minimum of 60, counting everyone aged 5 and over at their own rate. If fewer than 60 attend, the shortfall is charged at the adult rate. Ages 4 and under are free. Ages 5–12 pay €25 for the welcome evening and half the adult wedding-day price. Ages 13 and over pay adult rates.
Guest numbers can change until 30 days before the wedding. After that, numbers can increase, with the difference settled after the wedding, but cannot decrease.
What you can add
Each starting food and drink price covers the hosted meal, drinks and service described above. Premium menus, a premium bar and additional food or drinks are optional. Bespoke requests and external suppliers are quoted separately; extras are agreed in writing.
Outdoor dining is €2,500 for the additional setup; tents and weatherproofing are separate. Music, photography, hair and makeup, a celebrant, custom stationery, babysitting and transport beyond the estate shuttles are also priced separately.
Floral Services
For a minimum of 60 guests, professionally designed, full-service florals from our organic flower field are estimated from €4,000, covering the bridal bouquet, boutonnière, ceremony floral design, reception flowers and one floral centrepiece per table.
Flowers are not included in the contracted event price. The €4,000 figure is an indicative starting estimate only. Final floral costs will be confirmed separately according to the final design, quantities and requirements.
Exotic flowers not grown in our flower field, additional quantities, or installations beyond the standard scope will be quoted individually.
Your included stationery is personalised within the Quinta's seasonal designs: menus, seating plan, table names, place cards and room cards.
All DJ services, sound equipment and technical support are coordinated through our resident sound technician, André Galvão. An external DJ can join using André's equipment, with him or his team present. Bands and other entertainment need advance approval from your planner and André.
Services organised through your wedding planners are invoiced by Quinta de Sant'Ana, are our responsibility and are due 30 days before your wedding. Suppliers you bring yourselves require your wedding planners' written approval and are booked and paid by you directly; your planner coordinates them with our teams on the day. Supplier availability cannot be guaranteed.
Ceremonies and wet-weather plans
Civil, humanist and symbolic ceremonies can take place at the estate. For a legally binding civil ceremony, you arrange the legal process; we can introduce a lawyer to help.
Catholic ceremonies take place in the village church, subject to parish availability. Our bookings team helps request your church date within seven days of your reservation. You arrange your priest or deacon and the Catholic requirements. The estate chapel is open for visits and does not host ceremonies.
Your planner agrees an indoor alternative for each outdoor moment. The Adega can host your ceremony and drinks if it rains, including during harvest when we clear and prepare it. The welcome evening has an indoor alternative, and the standard wedding dinner is indoors.
Payment dates, methods and late bookings
Your €10,000 deposit is applied in full to the estate fee. Pay it, or initiate the transfer and share confirmation, within seven days of signing. Your date is fully confirmed when the funds arrive; if they have not arrived within 14 days of signing, the date may be released.
The remaining estate fee is due six months before the wedding, on the last day of the month before the six-month point. For example, a wedding on 17 June 2028 pays by 30 November 2027. Your Offer states the exact due date. If you book less than six months ahead, the balance is due within 30 days of signing.
The per-guest charges and additional services organised through your wedding planners are due 30 days before the wedding. Any last-minute changes or damages are itemised after the wedding, within 14 days, and payable within 14 days of issue.
You can pay by bank transfer or card. Card payments carry a surcharge: 3% on cards issued outside the European Economic Area, the cards on which a surcharge is lawful. Your agreed prices include IVA and do not change if tax rates change.
Your stay and celebration hours
Weekend pricing applies to Friday, Saturday and Sunday weddings; weekday pricing applies Monday to Thursday. Your proposal confirms the available date selected for you.
Your two nights are the night before the wedding and the wedding night. Check in from 16:00 and check out by 11:00. Accommodation for 60, breakfast both mornings and municipal tourist tax are included. You assign rooms through your portal and arrange any cost-sharing directly with your guests.
Ten hours of wedding-day service run from the scheduled arrival for your ceremony or welcome drinks, or your scheduled return from church. A late start shortens the party. The celebration ends by 1:30 from Sunday to Thursday and by 2:30 on Fridays and Saturdays. Each started extra hour is €2,000 plus any extra supplier charges, within those closing times.
On Sundays to Thursdays, the ten included hours of service are subject to the 1:30 closing time; if the scheduled guest arrival is set later than 15:30, the available service time is reduced accordingly, and the ten-hour allowance does not override the closing-time limit.
After 22:00, there is no amplified music or other outdoor noise anywhere on the estate. The party continues indoors in the Olive Oil Press.
Guest-house after-parties are not permitted.
Getting here and staying at a working estate
We are in Gradil, near Mafra, north of Lisbon. Estate shuttles during the welcome evening are included; airport transfers and other transport can be arranged separately. For guests staying elsewhere, accommodation is booked directly by you or your guests.
Your event spaces are exclusively yours from check-in to check-out. On arrival and departure days, small wine-tasting groups may visit other parts of this working estate and may cross over in common areas such as the reception, shop and courtyard; there are no tasting visitors during your welcome evening or wedding day. Extended exclusivity can be quoted on request.
Reservations and cancellations
Your proposal holds its selected date for seven days pending your signatures. If that window expires, the date is released; contact us to check whether it is still available.
If you cancel, the contract's retention schedule applies:
- More than 6 months before the wedding: the €10,000 deposit is retained.
- Between 6 and 3 months before the wedding: 50% of amounts paid is retained.
- Less than 3 months before the wedding: 100% of amounts paid is retained.
The €10,000 deposit is included in, and not added to, the retention amounts in the subsequent tiers. The minimum retained is €10,000.
Per-guest charges: guest counts may change freely until the 30-day lock; after the lock, removals are not refunded, and on a full cancellation the per-guest charges already paid are not refunded. Your contract sets out the full cancellation, postponement and other terms.

Make it yours
Your proposal sets out your date, prices and payment deadlines, and we hold it for seven days while you both sign. Once your deposit arrives, the date is officially yours.

Plan together
Our bookings team is with you from the moment you confirm, and your personal planner joins the November before your wedding, with your portal keeping everything in one place. Your menu tasting for two is best around 60 days before the day.

Finalise
Thirty days before, confirm your menu, guest list, seating plan and dietary requirements, and settle your per-guest payment. Your planner then briefs our teams on the final plan.
